Azerbaijan, Baku, 22 May / Trend corr. U.Ismayilova / The Free Consumers Union of Azerbaijan will form the consultative centres to protect rights of consumers, with active support of the European Union, in municipalities in Mugan region, Eyub Huseynov, Head of the Union, stated.
"Consultative centres will be formed within the framework of the joint programs of the Union with International Consumers Organization, which implements projects through finances of the European Commission -Consumers International", Huseynov said.
The key goal of the project is to form consultative centres in the five municipalities in Mugan, which will create electron data base about the state of consumers in the region.
Huseynov said that European Union has already approved the first step of the project jointly with Consumers International on implementation of the project in sum of €200,000 for two years.
The similar centres would be formed in other regions as well, Huseynov said.
Free Consumers Union of Azerbaijan has been operating in Azerbaijan since 1997.
