Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov invited Jordan companies to participate in large-scale programs and projects implemented in Turkmenistan, including the establishment of the Avaza national tourism resort on the Caspian Sea shore.
Recently, the president indicated the necessity of organizing large-scale campaign to advertise the sea resort to be established on the Caspian Sea shore.
The issue was discussed in a meeting with the King of Jordan's special envoy on Central Asia, Abdullah Abdelkarim Voriekata in Ashgabat, national television channel Altin Asir reported.
Voriekata conveyed sincere greetings of King of Jordan Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein to the President of Turkmenistan, expressing Jordan's readiness to further interstate dialogue which has entered to a qualitatively new stage through both sides' efforts and meeting the mutual interests.
"Establishment of a friendship and cooperation bridge with the Arab countries is one of important priorities of Turkmenistan's foreign policy strategy," Berdimuhamedov said.
Talks in Ashgabat also focused on prospects of cooperation in trade, energy, agro-industrial complex and industry.
In June Berdumuhamedov paid an official visit to Amman, capital of Hashemite Kingdom. During the discussions on the top the sides stressed "coincidence in opinions" of the two countries on ensuring energy security.
