The Turkish Engin Grup Konsorsium S.A. together with Turkmen colleagues are completing the construction of a cotton-spinning factory worth over $85 million, Altyn Asyr national TV channel said.
The factory will produce 17,700 tons of high-quality cotton yarn per year.
Fine assembly work will held in special workshops. The huge cotton-spinning factory is equipped with automated lines and other modern equipment from the world's leading producers.
This equipment and modern technology will ensure an output of a high-quality competitive product. Qualified staff are being trained for the future production. Over 500 jobs will be created there.
The factory will be put into operation by the 18th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence - October 27, 2009.
