SP gas condensate output surpass 430 million barrels

Over 430 million barrels of gas condensates has so far been produced in South Pars gas field's first eight phases, since July 2004.

The gas condensates output of the phases has amounted to 40 million barrels in the current Iranian calendar year (began March 21, 2009), Fars News Agency reported.

According to the Pars Oil and Gas Company's public relations office, 75 million barrels of gas condensates have been produced in the phase one, 205 million barrels in the phases two and three, 133 million barrels in the phases four and five, and 17 million barrels in the phases six, seven and eight of South Pars gas field.

South Pars, in the Persian Gulf, is the world's largest gas field, shared between Iran and Qatar. It covers an area of 9,700 square kilometers, of which 3,700 square kilometers (South Pars) is in Iranian territorial waters and 6000 square kilometers (North Dome) is in Qatari territorial waters.
