A solemn opening of the showroom of Uztrade, which assists Uzbekistan's small and private business and farmers in exporting goods, took place in the Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif on Nov.30.
The Foreign Trade Ministry of Uzbekistan said in a message that the showroom, where a wide range of Uzbek products will be exhibited, is opened on the basis of Uztrade Mazar-i-Sharif Trading House.
Uzbek goods, such as cookies, chocolate sweets, jams, chocolate pastes with nuts, concentrated juices, antiseptic gels, carpets and rugs, as well as other popular products will be offered at the showroom.
To date, Uztrade has signed export contracts for the supply of finished goods to the trading house for a total of $2.6 million.
Uzbekistan continues the policy of expanding and strengthening trade and economic relations with foreign countries. Over the past period, the turnover of Uzbekistan with foreign countries has increased by 13 percent, the highest indicator for the last 5 years.
The Ministry said that by November more than 200 documents were signed in the trade, economic and investment spheres, including more than $ 9.1 billion in trade.
Within the framework of these contracts, the enterprises of the republic have already shipped products worth more than $ 1.2 billion, including a wide range of products with high added value.
