Garadagh glass factory, the largest glass-producing enterprise in Azerbaijan, increases the export potential of its products in the current year, a source in the factory told Trend.
According to the source, as of now, the enterprise has exported the glass products to the neighbor Georgia.
“Since the beginning of the year, about a million glass bottles have been exported to the Georgian market. In the coming months, another batch of deliveries to this market is planned, tentatively in early June," the source said.
"The factory accepts orders for the supply of glass containers to customers operating in the domestic market. At this stage, the factory is taking a series of measures to improve the quality of its products in order to increase the export potential in the future, " the source said.
Last year, the factory signed a contract with Coca-Cola Bottlers Georgia, under which 2.6 million glass bottles for Coca-Cola and Fanta drinks have been delivered to Georgia to date.
The Garadagh glass factory, founded in 2018, is one of the enterprises of the Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation.
The factory, equipped with modern Italian equipment, is located on a 22-hectare-area. It has the biggest production potential in the region.
Raw materials are imported from Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and other countries. The factory's production capacity is from 80 million through 85 million glass containers.
