The construction of a factory for the processing of manganese ore screenings at the Eastern Kamys deposit and an industrial complex for the enrichment of manganese screenings and the production of building materials is planned in Kazakhstan's Karaganda region in 2021, Trend reports citing the regional akimat (administrative center).
Thus, the manganese ore processing factory is planned by the Zhanaarka Manganese JSC company with subsequent creation of 10 jobs. In turn, the construction of the industrial complex is planned by ERGRecycling JSC and will provide for creation of 25 new jobs.
To date, commissioning of 18 new SME facilities (seven in trade and 11 in the service sector) is also planned in the region, which will provide for 41 full-time jobs.
Last year, 165 microcredits were issued to SMEs, 21 grants and 3 projects on the Business Roadmap were supported. This year, 12 grants worth 500,000 tenge ($1,190) each will be provided for start-ups of entrepreneurs at the expense of the regional budget, as well as 50 grants within the framework of the Enbek state program.
The priority issue for the region remains the provision of housing for those on the waiting list. This year 18,000 square meters of housing will be commissioned. The construction of 9- and 18-apartment rental residential buildings, 8-apartment credit building is already underway. The construction of a 16-apartment credit building will also begin. All this will provide housing for 51 families. Construction of four 2-apartment and two 12-apartment houses for large families will begin.
For the development of individual housing construction, work is underway to supply electricity and water supply. To date, 49 plots for individual housing construction are already ready in the regional center.
