PremiumRise in Russian gas prices passes by rents for Daryal center

There does not exist official information on reconsideration of the rents for movable and immovable estate for use of the Daryal analytical-information center in connection with the increase of import gas from Russia, Abbas Abbasov, the Azerbaijani vice premier, told journalists.

The contact has been signed and on its base we annually receive $7m in rents and Russia pays additionally $31.5m in debts for rents, Abbasov noted.

The Azerbaijani government intends to define the directions of use of funds, paid by

the Russian government for rent of property and immovable property in connection with the use of the Daryal.

Moscow recognized the stationed as the property of Azerbaijan and since July 1997 had undertaken all expenses linked the delivery of spare part and its upgrade. Along with rents, it was committed to clear off debts in the amount of $31.5m over 5 years from 1997 to 2001 for rents and energy consumption. In the beginning of every year Russia repays $6.2m though opening of acridities.
