Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr U. Ismaylov / Mikayil Jabbarov, the deputy Minister for Economic Development, stated on 7 April that the law draft on creation of duty free zones in Azerbaijan will be ready by the middle of April.
According to Jabbarov, the law draft is being worked out by a special commission of the Ministry headed by the Minister Heydar Babayev.
Azerbaijani President issued a decree on creation of special duty free zones in order to promote development of several regions of the country, to encourage investments and direct them to priority spheres, offer new jobs, to use modern skills on management, to provide competitiveness of goods and services.
