Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the last government meeting said that the state of affairs in the oil-processing industry is poor.
"In particular, Turkmenbashi Oil Refinery not fully fulfill its tasks to increase production of high quality oil,"- he said.
According to the official Turkmen source, deficiencies were revealed as a result of control held by the Supreme Chamber of Control. The Turkmen leader has recently signed a decree to change the leadership of the company and instructed to develop and submit proposals to further improvement of its activity.
"It is also necessary to reconstruct a number of technological machineries of the plant and buy these for the most modern and highly efficient equipment from leading world manufacturers,"- he emphasized.
