The fire was extinguished in one of Iran's biggest petrochemical complex, west of the country on Tuesday. Nobody was injured, Pananews reported.
The fire started in a compressor room of Bistoon Petrochemical Co early on Tuesday but it was extinguished after an hour. Nobody was injured.
An official in the National Petrochemical Company stated that the oil and liquid hydrocarbon leak caused the incident.
The Bistoon Petrochemical Co has the production capacity of 50,000 tons of linear alkyl benzene (LAB) and 480,000 tons of heavy alkylate benzene (HAB), Kermanshah refinery, Esfahan Petrochemical Co and Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company annually provide 386,000 tons of white oil and 19,000 tons of gasoil to provide Bistoon Petrochemical Co.
