Some 26,991 tons of RON-80 motor gasoline was put up at Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange (UZEX) for the period from March 1 to 7, Trend reports with reference to UZEX.
According to UZEX, 11,504 tons or 42.6 percent of RON-80 motor gasoline were sold at the exchange trading. On average, 30 buyers took part in the exchange trades daily.
It was noted that during the period under review, against the background of a decrease in the starting price, the daily average price of RON-80 gasoline also increased from 6,251 soums ($0.6) to 6,128 soums ($0.58) per ton, or by two percent.
In addition, the weekly weighted average price of motor gasoline RON-80 for the period under review amounted to 6,215 soums ($0.59) per ton of gasoline, RON-91 – 7,628 soums ($0.73) per ton.
Earlier it was reported that the price of gasoline in Uzbekistan increased during the period from January through February 2021 by 4.9 percent. At the same time, the price for methane increased by five percent, while the price of propane decreased by 7.9 percent.
It was noted that the excise tax rates for petroleum products and automobile fuel sold to end consumers have increased in Uzbekistan since February 1.
According to Uzbekneftegaz JSC, these measures would lead to an increase in the cost of RON-80 gasoline by up to 110 soums ($0.01), RON -90 and more by 60-90 soums ($0.0057-$0.0085).
