BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 26. An average of 385 million liters of crude oil and oil products per day were transported in Iran, during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2022), Executive Director of Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company (OPTC), Arslan Rahimi said, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.
According to Rahimi, a total of 77 billion liters of crude oil and related products were transported in Iran over 7 months.
The director said that 40 billion liters of crude oil were transported to relevant oil refineries in the country in 7 months, as well as 37 billion liters of oil products were transported within the country.
“By transporting the mentioned volume of crude oil and related products through pipelines, 3 million tanker trucks were prevented from moving on the country's roads. As a result, 1.4 billion liters of diesel used in cargo transportation were saved,” he added.
The director noted that the Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company transports crude oil and oil products to the country's oil refineries and consumption points through more than 14,000 kilometers of pipelines in the country.
