BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 30. In November 2023, the STAR oil refinery, owned by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, produced 592,888 tons of diesel fuel, a decrease from the 647,424 tons produced in the same month of 2022, Trend reports.
This indicates an 8.4 percent year-on-year reduction in diesel production at the refinery, according to Türkiye's Energy Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
The STAR refinery's capacity is anticipated to increase to 13 million tons in 2024.
Crude oil from the Black Sea region, Africa, and several other countries is utilized in the production of petrochemical products.
Operational since October 2018, the STAR refinery boasts an annual refining capacity of about 10 million tons and can process 214,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
