Azerbaijan details export volume of oil for first half of year

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 18. Azerbaijan exported 11.1 million tons of oil from January through June 2024, compared to 12.819 million tons in the same period in 2023, Trend reports via the State Customs Committee (SCC).

According to customs declarations, Azerbaijan's revenue from oil exports in the first half of the year amounted to $7.012 billion ($7.803 billion in the January-June period of 2023).

Azerbaijan exported oil to 20 countries from January through June 2024, accounting for 54.35 percent of the country's total exports.

The top three buyers of Azerbaijani oil were Italy (4.274 million tons for $2.72 billion), Israel (1.58 million tons for $989 million), and India (0.892 million tons for $568 million).

At the end of the first half of 2023, the major buyers included Italy with 4.91 million tons of oil worth $3 billion, followed by Spain, Israel, and India, each purchasing approximately 1.02 million tons of oil.

Azerbaijan exported oil to 18 countries from January through June 2023, with oil exports accounting for 43.43 percent of the country's total exports.
