BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 16. Azerbaijan supplied 4.964 bcm of gas to Türkiye from January through June 2024 (25 percent growth), Trend reports.
According to the data of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, in the reporting period of the current year, $1.55 billion worth of gas was exported to Türkiye (0.4 percent reduction).
Azerbaijan exported a total of 11.825 bcm of gas (7.9 percent growth) worth $4.06 billion (1.97 times decrease) from January through June of the current year.
Türkiye, Italy, and Bulgaria were among the top 3 in terms of volumes of Azerbaijani gas purchases in the reporting period. Türkiye accounted for 42 percent of the total volume of gas exports from Azerbaijan.
To note, Azerbaijan exported 10.854 bcm of gas to Türkiye in 2023 (up 58.4 percent year-on-year) worth $3.6 billion (up 66.7 percent).
