The Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Ali Salehabadi announced that the foreign exchange reserves of the country are in the best situation, Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.
The Central Bank of Iran made the remarks during the unveiling ceremony of the online system of Iran's Integrated Foreign Exchange Market.
He said the situation of the foreign exchange reserves is assessed balanced and favorable.
Salehabadi noted $26 billion in foreign currency remittances have been paid into the NIMA system since the beginning of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021), while over $20 billion has been provided for the import of basic goods.
Salehabadi, stated that the quantity transactions via Forex Management Integrated System was quadruple in the current Iranian year, compared to last year, reached to $1.6 billion.
