TEHRAN, Iran, October 22. The Central Bank of Iran’s agenda is to facilitate small-scale loans, said the CBI Governor Ali Salehabadi, Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.
The Central Bank of Iran plans to offer small-scale loans with less bail payment to support production, he said adding that offering advances and loans have increased 59 percent in Fars Province during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022).
It is necessary to sell surplus assets of banks especially private banks to supply liquidity and increase advances and loans, he noted.
The CBI is determined in controlling liquidity, rising inflation and preventing the printing of money, the official pointed out indicating that the main plan is to guide the liquidity toward production in the country.
