BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 15. The volume of remittances by individuals from Russia to Azerbaijan amounted to $287.05 million in the first half of 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Central Bank shows that this figure decreased by 52.78 percent, or $320.8 million, compared to last year.
The share of transfers from Russia in the total volume of transfers is 50.6 percent.
According to the results of 2023, the volume of remittances by individuals from Russia to Azerbaijan amounted to $1 billion.
To note, the volume of remittances by individuals from foreign countries to Azerbaijan amounted to $1.654 billion by the end of 2023.
