The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 0.6 percent in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2021), compared to the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, 293,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, 175,000 tons were loaded and 118,000 tons were unloaded.
During the fourth month, 159,000 tons of cargo were exported and 37,600 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.
In addition, 48 tons of cargo were loaded and 347 tons were unloaded in the port for transit in the 4th month. At the same time, 14,500 tons of cargo were loaded, and 80,300 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage, the statistics said.
Also, 737 tons of cargo were loaded and 7 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes.
According to the statistics, 6,640 tons of essential products, 60 tons of metal products, 149,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 2,070 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 4th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 31 tons of chemicals, 1,080 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 29,800 tons of container products, 105,900 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.
As reported, about 12.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the fourth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.99 million tons were loaded and 5.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 20.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
