BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 13. Dutch ING projects a gradual decrease of policy rate from 16.75 percent in 4Q2022 to 11.75 percent in 4Q2023, Trend reports with reference to ING.
A breaking point for this indicator is expected to come in the second quarter of 2023 when the Kazakh government will start decreasing the policy rate.
ING economists expect a further policy rate drop to 9.25 percent in the final quarter of 2024, followed by a slow decrease in 4Q2025 to 9 percent.
While Kazakhstan’s policy rate is expected to drop, it will remain considerably high, compared to the projected policy rate of some of the CIS states, including Azerbaijan, and Russia.
