ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 15. Over 38,000 tourists from Kazakhstan visited Azerbaijan from January through June 2024, Trend reports.
As per data provided by Azerbaijan's State Tourism Agency, during this period, 38,051 Kazakh tourists visited Azerbaijan, which is 78 percent more than in the same period in 2023 (21,394).
Thus, Kazakhstan entered the top 10 countries from which the most tourists arrived in Azerbaijan in the first half of 2024, settling for 7th place.
In addition, 8,927 tourists from Kazakhstan visited Azerbaijan in June 2024 alone.
According to the agency, among the Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan attracted the highest number of tourists from Kazakhstan.
Meanwhile, 58,072 Kazakh tourists visited Azerbaijan in 2023, which is 91 percent more than in the same period in 2022 (30,350).
