ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 12. Kazakhstan's Rozhkovskoye gas condensate field is set to reach a daily production level of 1.5 million cubic meters of gas by the end of the year, allowing for an annual output of over 500 million cubic meters, KazMunayGas (KMG, the national oil and gas company) told Trend.

The update was provided at a meeting reviewing the results of oil field operations by KMG’s subsidiary, Ural Oil & Gas (UOG), which began industrial gas production at Rozhkovskoye in late 2023.

Currently, the field is producing 1.37 million cubic meters of gas per day. Since the beginning of the year, 115,000 tons of condensate have been extracted.

The company noted that Ural Oil & Gas produces over 6,000 tons of liquefied hydrocarbon gas monthly, meeting the needs of the West Kazakhstan region and enabling surplus supply to other parts of the country.

To increase gas production to 1 billion cubic meters annually, UOG management has been given specific directives to expedite the second phase of the field's development project.

The Rozhkovskoye gas condensate field, discovered in 2008 following extensive geological exploration, was put into commercial operation in the West Kazakhstan region on December 22, 2023. The field is expected to produce 14.2 billion cubic meters of raw gas and 7.1 million tons of condensate by 2040.
