Kyrgyzstan's automotive gasoline exports to Uzbekistan lower

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 6. Kyrgyzstan exported 69,100 liters of automotive gasoline to Uzbekistan in January 2024, Trend reports.

According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, this figure decreased by 90.3 percent compared to the 710,800 tons exported in the corresponding month of 2023.

The total value of these exports amounted to $33,846, declining by 88 percent compared to January 2023's $281,500. During the reporting period, Uzbekistan was the sole country purchasing automotive gasoline from Kyrgyzstan.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan imported 55.482 million liters of automotive gasoline in January 2024 from Russia, which is an 81.5 percent increase compared to January 2023. Russia was the only country from which Kyrgyzstan imported gasoline in the first month of the current year.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's trade with Uzbekistan totaled $43.764 million in January 2024, which is a 39-percent rise compared to the same month in 2023 ($31.475 million).

Exports to Uzbekistan amounted to $16.970 million in January 2024, an increase of 32.9 percent from the $12.768 million recorded in January 2023. Imports reached $26.793 million in January 2024, which is an increase of 43.2 percent compared to $18.707 million in January 2023.
