Tajikistan looks forward to expanding its cooperation with Russia's Tatneft

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 6. Tajikistan is seeking to expand its collaboration with the Tatarstan' Tatneft oil company, Tajikistan's Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Sherali Kabir, said at an investment forum in Dushanbe, Trend reports.

Kabir stated that Tajikistan aims to establish a partnership with Tatneft to launch one of the country's largest oil refineries in the Dangara free economic zone.

He emphasized the strategic importance of this project for the nation, noting that such a partnership could accelerate its implementation.

At the same forum, Oleg Korobchenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia's Republic of Tatarstan, highlighted that Tatarstan produces 35 million tons of oil annually, with up to 70 percent being refined locally. He expressed hope that exports to Tajikistan would increase, given the country's high demand for petroleum products.
