DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, October 23. The nominal average monthly wage per worker in Tajikistan was 2,569 somoni ($240) in July 2024, slightly lower than in June, which was 2,583 somoni ($241), Trend reports via the National Bank of Tajikistan.
In July, the average wage in the real sector was 2,564 somoni ($239), while in the services sector, it was 2,570 somoni ($240).
For the entire period from January through July 2024, the nominal average monthly wage per worker was 2,228 somoni ($208). In the real sector, it stood at 2,451 somoni ($229), and in the services sector, it was 2,162 somoni ($202).
In 2023, the average wage amounted to 2,013 somoni ($188).
As of July 1, 2024, the minimum wage in Tajikistan increased from 600 somoni ($56) to 800 somoni ($75). From the same date, insurance, labor, and social pensions, as well as related allowances, were raised by 30 percent. Additionally, as of July 1, the salaries of public sector employees in Tajikistan increased by 40 percent. More than 2 billion somoni ($188 million) from the state budget was allocated for the increase in wages, scholarships, and pensions.
