Uzbekistan likely to establish industrial technopark in nation's Nurafshan

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 5. Uzbekistan may establish Nurafshan Industrial Technopark of Industry and Foreign Trade, Trend reports.

As to the Uzbek Agency for Strategic Reforms, a presidential decree outlining plans to improve Nurafshan's investment and business climate has been drafted in collaboration with local businesspeople and the Tashkent area and Nurafshan administrations.

According to the document, within the boundaries of the industrial technopark, there are plans to construct various amenities such as social, service, and infrastructure facilities for the residents. Additionally, there will be industrial buildings ranging from 2 to 7 stories in height. The industrial buildings will house investment projects totaling $720 million.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan plans to create an industrial technopark in the city of Almalyk, and it is envisaged to be built on a territory of 227.4 hectares.

When this initiative is implemented, it will be possible to attract more than $1 billion in investments by placing more than 35 industrial projects in the technopark, including the production of construction materials, household appliances, and other industrial products.
