(zaman) - French President Jacques Chirac and his counterpart Hu Jintao signed significant trade agreements in Beijing on Thursday.
Jintao and Chirac signed 14 cooperation agreements, ranging from aviation to nuclear power utilization, reports Trend.
Mr. Chirac brought a delegation of French business people with him to China, hoping to seize a greater share of the world's fourth-largest economy.
Chirac also met with Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and Wen Jiabao, the Chinese Premier.
Chirac is expected to visit the Wuhan and Xian provinces of China after leaving Beijing.
