Deadline for applications to the Central Election Commission (CEC) for registration of presidential candidates expired on Saturday at 18.00.
There were 52 applications in total. 41 candidates represent political parties, and 11 - action groups.
Six of them were refused of registration - three of them due to dual citizenship, and three more due to technical problems in the documentation.
CEC has officially registered as a presidential candidate the representative of ruling coalition "Georgian Dream" Giorgi Margvelashvili, labour leader Shalva Natelashvili, national candidate Nestan Kirtadze and David Saluashvili.
Those wishing to run for the presidency of the country will have to submit the signatures of its supporters before September 17. They need to collect at least 26,530 signatures.
According to the schedule of electoral activities, CEC completes the registration of candidates for president on September 27.
Presidential election will be held on October 27.
