UK, London, 21 December / Trend corr. G.Akhmedova / A meeting of energy ministers of oil importer and exporter countries focused on cooperation of these countries, especially to arrangement of direct dialogue and stabilization of oil prices in the world market
The Azerbaijani embassy in the U.K. told Trend correspondent that British Premier Gordon Brown delivered opening remarks to the gathering with the participation of ministers from 30 countries, representatives from the International Energy Agency (IEA) and International Energy Forum (IEF). Premier Brown and Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change Ed Miliband represented the U.K.
Different variants to arrange a direct dialogue between oil importer and exporter states as well as a creation of transparency and efficiency in the oil market were in the centre of discussions.
Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev was also in attendance.
