Today, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has taken part in a ceremony of laying the foundation of the Olympic Sports Complex in Shirvan, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
Builders warmly welcomed the President.
President Ilham Aliyev was informed about the draft on the Sport and Olympic complex. The total area of the complex, to be built on an area of five hectares, is 25,000 square meters. A sports hall for 1,000 people, a swimming pool for 250 people, a training room, a gym and other facilities will be built there. The complex will be built on the basis of the original project. There will be platforms for football, basketball, volleyball and tennis for 1,500 people.
President Ilham Aliyev was informed about new projects in this direction.
The President put a bush sleeve in the concrete mixture and wished builders good luck.
