Azerbaijan sentenced individuals accused of committing armed attacks.
Serious Crimes Court sentenced Absheron resident Parvin Hashimov to 11 years, Ilham Askerov to 10 years in prison.
The defendants entered the conspiracy and decided to rob Jumshud Huseynov, working in a currency exchange point in the shopping center Karvan.
Committing an armed attack on Huseynov they took away a bag belonging to him, which included cash of 39,364 manat, and jewels worth 16, 922 manat Feb.18, 2008.
Besides, the defendants had committed several armed attacks in the city of Sumgait. Hashimov and Askerov were arrested as a result of operational search activities of Sumgayit City Police Department's employees Feb. 20, 2009.
