Stuttgart hosted the presentation of the documentary film "Hope of the far Caucasus - traces of the Germans in Azerbaijan" the press service of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora told Trend.
The film tells about the story of the Germans, who in the XIX century migrated from the village of the German province of Wurttemberg to Azerbaijan. Based on documents, as well as stories by residents of Elenendorf (Goygol region of Azerbaijan), the authors of the documentary film - German and Azerbaijani historians - have tried to recreate the life of German immigrants, who were involved in winemaking.
The project was funded by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, Foreign Ministry of Germany and the "EnBV" Enerji Baden-Vürtemberq AG Company.
