The average download speed for mobile internet in Azerbaijan grew by 1.44 percent in September 2021, compared to August 2021, reaching 40.69 Mbit/s, Trend reports citing Ookla.
According to Ookla, in the reporting month, the average download speed for broadband internet made up 25.1 Mbit/s, a decrease of 0.26 percent in monthly terms.
Besides, data download rates over the mobile communication network rose by 3.53 percent compared to August 2021.
In September, the outgoing Internet speed over the mobile network was 15.39 Mbps, up 3.6 percent compared to August.
According to Ookla, data download speed on fixed broadband lowered by 1 percent over the month.
The speed of outgoing download via the mobile communication network stood at 26.88 Mbit/s, having dropped by 0.37 Mbps or 1.35 percent.
According to Ookla, in August of this year, Azerbaijan ranked 64th among 137 countries in terms of data download speed via mobile internet and 127th among 181 countries in terms of data transmission speed via broadband internet access.
