Some 471.2 million tons of chemical products were manufactured in Azerbaijan in 9M2021, which is 8.8 percent, or 38,300 tons more than the same period last year, Trend reports citing the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (SCC).
According to the committee, the production of chemical products amounted in value terms to $125.19 million, which is more than two times more compared to the same period last year, or by almost 65 million manats ($38 million).
The committee reports that polyethylene production in the country amounted to 103,300 tons, which is almost 14 percent, or 12,504 tons more than in 9M2020. At the same time, polypropylene production decreased by almost 1.96 percent, or 1,300 tons - to 64,384 tons.
The production of nitrogen fertilizers in 9M2021 amounted to 200,355 tons, which is three times or 141,220 tons more than the same period last year.
