BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. Azerbaijan's imports of tobacco and tobacco products rose by 4.66 percent from January through August 2024 compared to the same timeframe in the previous year, totaling $77.961 million.
Data obtained by Trend from the country’s State Customs Committee indicates that the value of these imports during the same period in 2023 was $74.493 million.
Tobacco and tobacco products accounted for 0.61 percent of Azerbaijan's total imports during the reported period.
Additionally, Azerbaijan's tobacco and tobacco product imports rose by 23.54 percent in 2023 compared to 2022, totaling $119.966 million.
