BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 18. The production volume of gold bullions at Mouteh Gold Complex in Iran's Isfahan province grew by 6.2 percent during the seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through October 22, 2023).

The data obtained by Trend from the country's Organization for Development and Modernization showed that 160 kilograms of gold bars were produced during the seven months at the complex, compared to 149 kilograms in the same period last year.

The gold production for the seventh month of this year (from September 22 through October 21) was 24 kilograms at the Mouteh Gold Complex compared to 21 kg in the period of 2023, thus increasing by 20 percent.

The Mouteh Gold Complex has a gold processing plant in addition to the gold mines. This plant processes gold and produces bullion. The Iranian Mining Engineering Organization sells the gold bullion that the complex produces.

The Mouteh gold mine sits nestled in Mouteh village, in the heart of Maymeh County, Isfahan Province. The mine was born into existence in 1993 and sparkles with the potential to yield up to 300 tons of pure gold each year.
