ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 11. LLC "Batumi Sea Port" and JSC "KazAzot" have reached an agreement to increase the volumes of ammonium nitrate (ammonium nitrate fertilizer) transshipment through LLC "Batumi Sea Port," Trend reports via KazTransOil.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the companies as part of the development of business activity and international cooperation, as well as the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
Batumi Sea Port LLC first shipped Kazakhstan ammonium nitrate, the shipper of which is KazAzot JSC, in March 2024. Fertilizer is shipped from Aktau port to Govsan port (Azerbaijan), then transloaded in Batumi Sea Port (Georgia), from where it is headed for further export to world markets.
To note, Batumi Sea Port LLC delivered 37,600 tons of Kazakhstani ammonium nitrate along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route in 2024.
