BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. Azerbaijan increased its revenue from nitrogen fertilizer exports in 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee shows that this figure amounted to $126.2 million, up $43.2 million ($52.1 percent), and the export volume reached 564,900 tons (a rise of 202,700 tons or 56 percent).
Besides, last year, the export of nitrogen fertilizer had a share of 0.48 percent in the total export of the country, and 3.76 percent in the export of the non-oil sector.
To note, in total, Azerbaijan exported 1.1 million tons of chemical industry products worth $293.7 million in 2024. This is an increase of $45.5 million (18.3 percent) in value and 169,500 tons (18 percent) in volume compared to 2023.
Meanwhile, chemical industry products made up 1.11 percent of Azerbaijan's total exports and 8.75 percent of non-oil sector exports during the reporting period.
