ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 18. Kazakhstan and
China Exim Bank discussed the financing of the Almaty metro during
a meeting between Almaty Mayor Erbolat Dossaev and the President of
the Export-Import Bank of China, Wang Chunying, as part of his
visit to China, Trend reports.
The main topic of the talks was financing infrastructure projects,
particularly the expansion of the city's metro network.
Erbolat Dossaev emphasized the importance of cooperation and the
readiness to discuss financing terms. Wang Chunying noted that the
bank has 16 years of experience in Kazakhstan and is ready to
support road infrastructure projects.
Both parties expressed their intention to continue joint efforts to
strengthen the partnership.
China Exim Bank (Export-Import Bank of China) is a state-funded,
state-owned policy bank recognized as an independent legal entity.
It is a bank directly governed by the State Council, focused on
facilitating China's foreign commerce, investment, and
international economic collaboration. With the Chinese government's
lending backing, the Bank is crucial in fostering stable economic
growth and structural adjustment, facilitating foreign trade and
the "going global" initiative. It is dedicated to enhancing
financial assistance to critical sectors and vulnerable areas of
the Chinese economy to guarantee sustainable and robust economic
and social growth. The Bank conducts its operations judiciously and
