ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 11. In line with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's directive to expand the gas resource base, JSC "NC "QazaqGaz" has signed a Joint Activity Agreement and a Financing Agreement with its strategic partner, JSC "KazAzot," for the North-2 field in the Aktobe region, Trend reports.
The agreement was signed by Ulan Burkitov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Geological Exploration and Prospective Projects at JSC "NC "QazaqGaz," and Arman Mauleshev, General Director of JSC "KazAzot."
"JSC 'NC 'QazaqGaz' reaffirms its strategic commitment to openness and transparency and is ready to engage in dialogue with new potential partners and investors interested in developing gas and gas chemical projects in Kazakhstan," QazaqGaz stated.
JSC "KazAzot" will facilitate full-spectrum carry financing essential for compliance with the stipulations of the subsoil utilization agreement throughout the geological exploration phase. The proposed scope encompasses the execution of two-dimensional and three-dimensional seismic assessments, alongside the drilling of one autonomous well and one contingent well.
