BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. Azerbaijan’s total public debt—comprising both external and domestic obligations—is expected to reach 29 billion manat ($17 billion) by the end of the current year, which would account for 22.2 percent of the projected gross domestic product (GDP), Trend reports via the Ministry of Finance.
“By the end of the medium-term (2026-2029), the total volume of Azerbaijan’s public debt is forecasted to reach 32.7 billion manat ($19.2 billion), or 20.1 percent of the projected GDP in 2029,” the information said.
