BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. Azerbaijan's external public debt amounted to $5.1 billion as of April 1, 2025, including funds used for current projects financed by external borrowings and principal payments.
Data obtained by Trend from the Finance Ministry shows that this represents 6.6 percent of the country's projected GDP for the current year.
Moreover, the domestic state debt stood at 18 billion manat, which accounts for 13.8 percent of the forecasted GDP for 2025.
