ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 22. Turkmenistan is preparing additional steps to raise the production capacity of enterprises under the State Concern Türkmenhimiýa, Trend reports via the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers.
The announcement was made by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Annamamedov at the meeting of the cabinet chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
According to the report, work is underway to reinforce the material and technical base of the Ahal natural-gas-to-gasoline plant, one of the sector’s strategic facilities. The government is also expanding cooperation with major international companies to improve the reliability and efficiency of the plant’s technological systems.
Annamamedov presented a proposal outlining measures to support the plant’s operation and boost output across the concern. After reviewing the report, President Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of bringing Türkmenhimiýa enterprises to full design capacity. He approved the proposal and instructed the deputy prime minister to move forward with the planned measures.
The Ahal natural-gas-to-gasoline (GTG) plant is a large-scale facility dedicated to converting natural gas into high-grade gasoline, situated in Ahal, Turkmenistan. It commenced operations in June 2019 and employs Haldor Topsoe's TIGAS™ technology to generate approximately 600,000 tons of ECO-93 gasoline each year, in addition to liquefied gas and diesel fuel. The undertaking was a collaborative endeavor involving the Turkmengaz State Concern, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri.
