China received a very important source of energy in Turkmenistan to meet its growing needs, said the report of the ministry of oil and gas industry and mineral resources of Turkmenistan March 3.
In particular, the contract territory Bagtyyarlyk (Lebap region, Turkmenistan) allocated about 27 billion cubic meters of marketable gas for the development of China in industrial terms, the information said.
China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), seven years ago received a license of the operator and the contractor for exploration and production of raw materials on the contract area Bagtyyarlyk.
The report also said that Chinese experts, mastering the field, put into operation in Samandepe
dozens of previous technological wells and are drilling new production wells with good flow rate of natural gas. Exploration and production drilling is also carried out on a group deposit Altyn Asyr.
Gas deposits in the areas Eljik, Gadyn, Farab, Salarkak, Kokniyar, Hojagurlyk, East Hojagurlyk have been explored.
"The successful cooperation in the oil and gas sector with our strategic partner for implementing a number of large-scale projects in Turkmenistan, including exploration and development of
rich hydrocarbon deposits on the right bank of the Amu Darya, not only allowed the country to get a new gas expert route, but make an important step towards integration into the global energy system," the report said.
Chinese CNPC has bought fossil fuels in Central Asia since 2009, after the launch of the first two branches of the pipeline (A and B) of Turkmenistan through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. A third branch (C) was recently commissioned there, which also passes this route.
Currently, work on construction of additional fourth branch (D), on the new transit through Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan is underway.
