Uzbekenergo State Joint Stock Company (SJC) has signed a contract with the Russian Technoserv AS Company to supply four turbo-expander equipments with a total capacity of 20 megawatts for the Syrdarya and Tolimarjon thermal power stations worth $10.88 million, a source in Uzbekenergo's management told Trend on Thursday.
Under the contract, which will be implemented under "turnkey", the Russian company will carry out delivery, installation and commissioning of the expander-generators, as well as staff training.
Upon the project, one expander-generator will be supplied to Tolimarjon, other three - for the Syrdarya TPP.
It is planned that after commissioning equipment at the plant, the annual electricity production will amount to 152.5 million kilowatt/hours.
The total cost of the project on installing expander-generators at Syrdarya and Tolimarjon TPPs is $14.7 million.
