The American "Aladdin Middle East Ltd" company has received a license for oil and gas exploration in Turkey, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey told Trend June 27.
The ministry noted that, the company received a license for a period of five years for oil and gas exploration in the Turkish province of Siirt in the south-east of Turkey.
The ministry also noted that, oil and gas exploration will be carried out on the territory with a total area of 30,548 hectares.
"Aladdin Middle East Ltd" company applied to the Ministry of Energy of Turkey on August 4, 2017 for the exploration of oil and gas ", the ministry said.
The law permitting oil exploration in forests and national parks came into force in Turkey in April 2014.
According to the report of the Ministry of Energy, since 2014, within the framework of exploration of new oil and gas fields in Turkey, a total of 56 wells have been drilled, of which 54 are situated onshore, and two - offshore.
