The reserves did not grow as a result of drilling the exploratory wells by teh State Oil Company of Azerbaijan in 2005 at fields and promising strcutrues, Trend reports wiht reference to SOCAR reports for the year 2005.
In 2005 PA Azneft with the State Oil Company drilled 1861 exploratory meters from forecasted 2110 meters (-21,8%).
In 2005 exploratory work with foreign companies were performed at seven sections of land and sea of Azerbaijan (Yalama (D-222), Babazanan, Mishovdag, Gyrlyg, Injabel, Garabagli and Kanizdag). As a result, 14855,5 meters were drilled and one little field discovered.
As a exploratory drilling in 2005 were drilled 16711,5 meters in the republic, from which 12386 on land and 4325,5 on sea.
