The Republican Seismic Survey Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences will conduct a study of the problem of induced seismicity in the Mingachevir reservoir, a source in the Center told Trend.
The project will be implemented jointly with Russian scientists. When conducting research, it is planned to use modern Russian equipment, which will allow studying induced seismicity depending on conditions of the reservoir operation.
“The project was nominated for an international grant. An application for its implementation was submitted to the Academy of Sciences, and we will receive the answer by the end of December.”
