Azerbaijan’s ADY Container LLC offers new tariffs on container cargo transportation to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, the company’s Public Relations Specialist Balakhan Nazarov, told Trend.
Prices vary depending on the destination. Due to the situation, ADY Container offers reduced tariffs for the transportation of goods to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Since the entry of cars to Kazakhstan is banned due to coronavirus, goods can be delivered by containers, which are not restricted from transporting cargo," he said.
“Cargo owners can contact us and clarify the established tariffs, so consensus will be reached,” Nazarov added.
In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, from March 5, Kazakhstan suspends entry of ships from abroad to Aktau and Kuryk ports in the Caspian Sea. According to the decision, the entry of passengers, drivers and wheeled vehicles into the country is suspended for an indefinite period, while ferry transportation of rail cars will continue.
ADY Container is a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC. It was created to improve the quality and safety of railway cargo transportation and for efficient and centralized management of container traffic. All container platforms and rail container transportations in Azerbaijan are carried out by ADY Container.
Azerbaijan remains one of the countries, least affected by the rapidly spreading coronavirus disease. The country's official structures are applying necessary measures to prevent any possible exposure of coronavirus.
